And the Winner Is…

Last Friday, Teresa - the little daughter of l’Alfàs del Pi’s Council Woman for Education, Culture and Environment, Mayte Garcia – drew the winner of our Early Booking Contest out of a box with all the names of those who booked before 1st April.
Axel Schiers, sharing his room for the last couple of days with Koen Van den Eynde, wins the upgrade to a Deluxe Room for his entire stay!
And on top of that, both get 1 Thermal Circuit (value in the Sensae price list : 22 €) for free.

Reproduction of lemurs flourishes in Mundomar

At Mundomar, Polly - a ring-tailed lemur - gave birth to her first baby two months after her mother Antonia did the same, giving birth to another baby lemur after several previous litters. Grandmother and mother may therefore raise their babies together in the park, where visitors can observe how the number of this species happily multiplies.
Ring-tailed lemurs may have one or two babies per litter. Gestation lasts approximately 130-146 days and they only give birth once a year. Their babies are born with fur and open eyes.
Watch out for Antonia and Polly during your visit on Saturday morning 15th May!

Up with People’s President and CEO, Alain
Thiry, attending EAM!

It’s official. Up with People’s President and CEO, Alain Thiry, and his wife will be joining alumni at the European Alumni Meeting in l’Alfàs del Pi in May. Travelling with them from the US are Jon Nudi, A 89 alumnus and member of the Board of Directors, and his wife.
Vicente Arques, Mayor of l’Alfàs del Pi, was very delighted to hear the news. He said he is very much looking forward to meeting the man who today is leading such a great organisation as Up with People.

Exciting ascent to Puig Campana organized
by the Nordic Walking Association and l'Alfàs
del Pi’s Council of Sports
09.02.2010
Yesterday over fifty citizens of l'Alfàs del Pi and surrounding towns enjoyed the classic ascent of neighbouring Finestrat’s Puig Campana and reached its summit at 1400 m altitude. It was an ideal day for the effort with high clouds and smooth temperatures. The journey was an exciting and attractive hike organized within the "Discover Nature" Program of l’ Alfàs del Pi’s Sports Council in cooperation with the Valencian delegation of the of Spanish Nordic Walking Association (ANE).

Program planning previous to the Film
